Bridgerton's Simone Ashley will star in prime video rom-com Picture This alongside hero Fiennes Tiffin

Prime Video has revealed the cast for its upcoming British original romantic-comedy. Bridgerton star Simone Ashley and After Actor hero Fiennes Tiffin headline the cast. It's based on Prime Video's Australian original film Five Blind Dates, written by Shoung Hu and Nathan Ramos-Park. Here's what you need to know about the upcoming film:

The upcoming romantic-com film is being directed by Prarthana Mohan and written by Nikita Lalwani, who is known for The Outlaws. Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg are Picture This producers, with John Horsfield and Kari Hatfield executive producing.

Along with Ashley and Tiffin, other cast members of the prime original film include Phil Dunster of Ted Lasso, Nikesh Patel of London Has Fallen, Adil Ray of Citizen Khan fame, Sindhu V of Matilda: The Musical, U's Anushka Chadha, Bend are included. It Like Beckham's Kulwinder Ghir and Still Up star Luke Featherston.

"Alone and without a man on the horizon, Pia (Ashley) runs a failed photography studio in London with her best friend Jay (Featherston)," reads the film's official summary, according to Deadline .

The summary continues, “As her sister Sonal (Chadha) prepares to get married and her mother Lakshmi (V) firmly urges the independent Piya to become a partner, a spiritual guru at Sonal’s engagement party makes a prediction That Pia will find the love of her life. She will go on the next five dates.''

"As her family intervenes, setting her on a series of increasingly desperate blind dates, Pia begins a hilarious but heartfelt quest for real love," it adds.

"We are really excited to bring this fantastic new and original London set romantic-comedy to Prime Video customers," said Tara Err, Prime Video's Head of Northern European Origins.
