Chris Pratt criticizes his Hollywood colleagues for their poor attitudes, 'Are you having trouble living your dream?'
A1 Digital India News: Speaking at New York Comic Con, 'The Electric State' star discussed how people with negative attitudes "ruin everything for everyone" on film sets. The Electric State star, 45, revealed during a New York Comic Con panel for her upcoming Netflix sci-fi film on Thursday, October 17, that if an actor has a "bad attitude" during filming, it "ruins everything." It ruined something."
Praising Millie's "incredible" co-star Bobby Brown's on and off set attitude during the panel, which also included Electric State directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Pratt shared a different view on what happens to co-workers who aren't great to work with?
"See, these people can attest to that, because they believe there's no room for a bad attitude there," Pratt said. "You can't have a bad attitude towards movies... You can't have a bad attitude towards movies, it ruins everything for everybody, and then you don't last long."
"It sucks when people have a lousy attitude. So when you come on set, there's no reason to be... Like, 'Oh, you're having a hard time living your dream? Was it hard for you today?' Like, come and stick your head in," he said, adding, "Happy."
As Pratt explained, he and Brown, 20, were actually having a great time on the set of their latest film. Set to premiere on Netflix on March 14, 2025, The Electric State also stars Huey Kwan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Hank Azaria, Colman Domingo and Alan Tudyk, along with Kay, who has a voice.
"And she's incredible," Pratt said of Brown. "She's surrounded by all these animals. It's like, they yell 'bite' and she goes home and she'll find a home to adopt some pygmy goats and set up a U-Haul full of pitbull puppies. She used to be driven to Indiana like she has a huge heart, a huge love for animals."
“And that’s how we had a great time. We became friends very quickly and you couldn’t get rid of me,” he joked. “Apologize.” According to Netflix, Brown plays Michelle in Electric State, “an orphaned teenager living in a society where sentient robots resembling cartoons and pets, who once served to keep peace among humans, are now leading a failed rebellion.”
The streamer says of the film, “Upon entering the Exclusion Zone, a corner of the desert wall where the robots themselves are now located, Keats [Pratt] and Michelle are introduced to a strange, colorful collection of new animatronic allies. The group comes together — and they discover that the forces behind Christopher’s disappearance are far more sinister than they expected,” the streamer says of the film, whose first star-studded trailer was released on Thursday.
The Electric State is based on the graphic novel by Simon Stollenhag and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. After the film, the Russo Brothers are expected to focus on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
