Tom Holland is set to star in Christopher Nolan’s Latest Movie
A1 Digital India News: Tom Holland will star in Christopher Nolan's latest feature film, joining Matt Damon in this top secret venture. Nolan wrote the screenplay and is directing the project, which will be distributed by Universal Pictures. The studio has set a release date of July 17, 2026.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources say the setting does exist (though it's unclear whether it's set in the past or future of Nolan, who is working with producing partner and wife Emma Thomas for his major Syncopy building.
The new feature reunites Nolan with the studio that made his Oppenheimer drama and earned him his first Oscar. He won Best Picture as both director and producer for the film, which grossed a staggering $976 million worldwide.
Oppenheimer is the first time the filmmaker has worked with Universal, a partnership that was formed after Nolan publicly parted ways with his longtime home Warner Bros. in late 2020. According to the source, this new project went straight to the studio when Oppenheimer chose Universal in an open auction setting.
And while Damon will be part of Nolan's ensemble cast, having worked with Oppenheimer and the filmmaker for 2014's Interstellar, Damon is set to be part of the film's lineup. This will be Holland's first time working with the acclaimed director.
Holland's involvement could have some implications. Sources say the actor will work on this project next year as well as Spider-Man 4, which could stick around for Avengers: Doomsday. Spider-Man 4 has been delayed so much that Holland's co-star Zendaya is now shooting Dune 3 in early 2026 instead of next year.
Holland, who last starred in Apple TV's 2023 miniseries The Crowded Room, is represented by WME and Sloane Offer.
