Hollywood: The band performed a one-night show featuring the LA Film Orchestra at the end of their North American tour. Imagine Dragons have a special treat in store for fans in Los Angeles.
The Loom World Tour group is set to close its US leg at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27 with a one-night show with the LA Film Orchestra and special arrangements by renowned drama composer Inon Zur.
Imagine Dragons will also team up with Bethesda Games Studios for the live debut of their song "Children of the Sky (A Starfield Song)". Additionally, according to a statement, the track "will be sent back to Earth from the lunar surface as part of the Freedom Lonestar mission, which will fly with Intuitive Machines to the lunar South Pole in early 2025." "Our goal is to inspire the next generation of kids about the future of space and technology, so we chose 'Children of the Sky' as the first song in history to be broadcast from the moon," LoneStar, an investor in the Veterans Fund Micheletti, said in a statement via press.
Last month, the band's drummer, Daniel Platzman, announced that he was leaving Imagine Dragons to focus on his film composing career. "After a decade of incredible journey, I am leaving the amazing band Imagine Dragons," Platzman said in a press release.
" "I want to express my deep gratitude to the fans for your unwavering support and sharing the joy of music with me. Connecting with all of you has truly been the highlight of this chapter.
I'm excited to soon be able to share the projects I've been working hard on over the past few months, which focus on my greatest passion: film scoring and composition. I promise you'll be the first to know. Keep it up."
As a trio, the group will tour North American in the fall, culminating in a four-night Hollywood Bowl show in October. The band is the third musical act to perform four nights simultaneously at the Hollywood Bowl.
